Last week

Thursday went and saw the wee one. She picked out a book for me called "how i love you" it's by the same author who wrote the book i got her for her 1st bday, "i love you through and through"
Had my favorite dinner, Pastapot and cupcakes for cake. Then drew up plans for evil robots and played snakes with Goooguy.

After dinner, met up with Pooh Wrenched and his friends down town in the cowcity, and chitty chatted forever over swedish berries and drinks. It was a great way to start the weekend early.






Friday
Went and saw a friends band with my best friends. Saw a bunch of oldies from the past, it was good to hug them again. So here's some pictures from that night. Marco and I had the best conversation about going to "penhold" aka vegas and Chicken F*@&#ng. Poptart and I bopped it out on the floor and Allison and I hugged lots. And hi fives were handed out at random. Dmaster was invited and had a good time. So all in all good times good times.

A movement

so i was waiting for Dmaster to cash in his winning loto ticket (no not the trillions that's up for grabs) and noticed something out of the corner of my eye......
so i scooped up two of the cd's and thought it was kinda neat, they didn't do the graffiti but they tried to put out a cd that was inspired by the graffiti and all the noise that's come from I heart RD.
I'll be honest the cd sucked. But I was impressed that they did their best and helped transform some simple spray paint into a full swinging movement. And one that shows pride in our little city. I've lived in Red Deer most of my life. And no matter where I go in the world this is always home. So props to the guys who did the cd. Sorry I didn't like the tracks but we can't always agree on everything. I do have to say I'm happy that I found it.

The Odd Couple

so i got a few emails this morning and this video was one of them. the second was from allison and it asked when the last time i cried was.....i had to answer this morning because of the video that two very special people in my life sent me. Lego's parent's sent it to me and I just love it. It's super powerful and right to the point. Thank you for such a moving email. Hope you guys enjoy.

so today was weird, i worked in geriatrics which was kinda normal. what was weird was who i was working with. there was a male aide that i had recognized but it turns out not from work. it was actually this guy i used to dance with often when i was 18/19 years old. he recognized me right away. it took me a bit longer to put it together. (i was 18 at the time and prolly hammered most of the times i hung out with him) any ways it came out how old he was and that when we were hanging out he was really interested in me until he talked to my uncle about me when they worked a shift together and my uncle raised eyebrows regarding our age difference (15 years) and so he kinda dropped the idea. anyways we talked all shift after work was done and caught up over the last 10 years. crazy how some things come full circle. he's happy, married, kidlets, the amarican dream i guess. :) me? i'm happy too. i love my life that i've been building. i'm so lucky to have such great friends, he was saying how he remembered that about me. always had friends i loved and who loved me. he also mentioned i look exactly the same, and that it was my smile and eyes that made him realize who i was. i love when stuff like that happens.

I haven't been able to get a good "nights" sleep in lately. I've been kinda stressy about some stuff I thought was long in the past. Apparently it's not. Not to mention my shift work doesn't make it easy. I applied for a full time position but haven't heard anything. I still love on call but it makes it hard to be motivated to go to bed early.

I hurt my back at work on Sunday. It's sore but it should be alright. My dad joked about me having sympathy pains finally. I can't wait to see him and the mini one on Thursday!

reading year

had lunch with the GSO, then we went and got me a library card, and almost borrowed the salamander for three reasons

1. it looked like a bible
2. it had a good quote in the front
3. even though it was in fiction it had to be fact with a
title like 'the salamander'

but instead i ended up getting an old skool science fiction. Enders Game.
thanks to Biddi and the GSO for the suggestion of using the library, since I am going through books like crazy. Working nights and evenings seems to do that for me.

went and saw the curious case of benjamin button, loved it, thanks Dmaster for stopping by. Totally worth waking up from my sleep for it. Haven't really hung out with him a lot lately so it was nice to catch up on stuffs.

Played wow for a while, and had a coffee dropped off for me now i'm trying to sleep, should set in soon so i can be up for a call in shift tomorrow

keeper of da dayz and love

I have to say my life has been so much better since I started at the hospital. I come home happy just about every shift. And even after the not so great ones, I'm still happy at my job. :) I get up and ready for work looking forward to my day/evening/night and what it might bring because I know it's gonna be a great shift.

I've been working a lot of night shifts and going through books like crazy, any suggestions out there for books? I've read 9 this month alone. So bring on the suggestions!

Connect 4

I'm back to work after a short 4days off.
Still working on the Kitchen, and now
Boot is for sure for sure moving in.
I'm so happy about that.

I've been reading more and more blogs lately and wonder about my own now.

Is it mainly my friends that keep coming back and reading it or are there people who find it
and end up checking it out from time to time, people who I have never met and are interested in my really boring life?
I know some of you are thinking "your life is crazy" but I wonder if it is to others who don't see me talking while flailing my arms/using my hands like sock puppets/while hugging everyone in the room and dancing like a sprakle (sparkle to everyone else sprakle to bosman and i)

Someone asked me if I felt weird sharing my world with total strangers and I had to think about it for half a second. (which is foreverz in my world) and answered like this:

No because I could meet a total stranger and in 1/2 hour introduce them as my new best friend....that's just how I am. I'm an open book, with pictures and words and pop up pull tabs and confetti if I could pull that off. So why not? Maybe someone out there is thinking the same thing or feeling the same way and it gives them affirmation that they are not alone in their thoughts and it makes their day? Maybe it pisses someone off, then at least they know they're alive because they have feelings, drive and passion, connection. That's HUGE, connection. We aren't connected enough to eachother these days. I'm genuine and passionate about connecting with other people, I think we need more hugs, more caring and more love in the world, and not your store bought, valentines day crap, but real genuine heart felt, guts spilling out like spaghettie and saugage connection. Inestinal connection, solid hand shake connection, flight connection.....you get the picture.

So I hope for those of you that read this are enjoying it. Cuz I know I am. :) and really isn't that all that matters?!

a conversation

i was talking to poptart the other day and he was giving me advice on guys, and one thing he said was that i have a problem because i see the good in everyone, and it's to a fault now because even when someone is being terrible and doesn't deserve to be treated as good as i treat them, or i allow them close enough to hurt me i still do because somewhere i see the beauty inside of them and continue on with the relationship, be it friends or boyfriends. But the flipside is i wouldn't be me if I didn't treat everyone the way i want to be treated. i truely see the beauty and good in every one. i can't help it. maybe because i want people to see the good in me, even when i have a hard time seeing it, so they can remind me when i need the reminder. we all need reminders i think, and i'm fortunate enough to have people in my life who remind me constantly, needed or not, and others don't so i feel the compelled to be that person, no matter how draining it is emotionally. i dunno. derrrrr.

had pretty much the same conversation with boot this morning too. *sigh* think i'll keep plugging away but i have learned my lesson somewhere in it all, i'm not gonna always do what i've always done, even boot pointed that out, i may be kind but i'm not stupid. i don't stay as long as i used to and i can spot a user a lot faster, not fast but faster then i used to. i'm not sure if i'll post this or not. prolly will...but yeah. we'll see.

So works going good except I work a bit too much. Oh well. It keeps me out of most trouble. I'm starting to make more friends now that I'm becoming a familiar face in certain units which is nice. Met this one guy who's an aide, we were on a night shift together. We ended up having so much in common and looking up different countries we want to visit. He did relief work in Africa with Aides victims which is totally my dream. So we had tons to talk about. It was great. I found I'm actually making friends with lots of girls out there too which is a big change for me. Although the last stint at the big red machine I made quite a few girlfriends there too. I love my job. It's great, even on the bad days I'm still happy. I think the long drive home from Ponoka to Red Deer helps me. Even when I'm tired I just crank up my Happy Hardcore and sing at the top of my lungs.

Speaking of Happy Hardcore, Special Agent '00' Raver played me a set tonight at like 330am, I love that guy. Seriously, everytime I find him online late, I get a hands in the air set that would rock even grey socks the way it rocks my so cute socks. Thanks Graham. I love it. You know that longing feeling in your heart when you're pining or in love or whatever? That's the feeling of deep love I get for hardcore in all it's forms (believe it or not I miss terrorcore, gabber, speedcore and even noisecore) I've never found a love that hasn't let me down until you come to my love affair with Hardcore....*swoon*

Talked to a friend I haven't seen in a very long time tonight, we talked for about an hour. It was good to hear he was happy with everything going on for him again. I'm hoping we can hang out at my party....which is in just over a week...cuz I haven't seen him in foreverz and a day plus 1.

I finally gave in to some things, one is playing World of Warcraft the other is reading the Twilight series. I'm actually enjoying both. I have to say twilight is super teeny bobber love story but it reminds you of the butterflies with first and new love. So it makes me smile. As for WoW. it's a lot like my whole final fantasy phase so yeah, thank GSO for the hook.

i should prolly get some sleepies since I have a video game date with a certain 11 year old and his mom. :)

so i was a bit pissed, actually super pissed when I heard they were killing off Batman, so pissed in fact that i refused to read the "last" issue. But a friend just sent me to a site and it read like this

Although I could get lost in a comic collection for years, and re read issues. I still think it's stupid to even bring up the movie facet of the deal. What ever. Anywho, I just got home from yoga so I don't want to get too riled up over this tonight. And yay Canada in the hockey section. Wow, comics/yoga/hockey....it was a great day.

so i start yoga with mar tonight. i'm so excited to do something with her. i'm so happy that we've gotten to be so close and have fun when we hang out together now. she's one of the strongest women i've ever met and i just love her to bits. so to yoga we go with our new matching lavender mats, how cute.

godzilla toe nails

Had an awesome day getting to know a new friend. Got some new legos and went to an awesome movie with one of my awesome rad girlfriend's and we swooned over paul gross the entire time. *swoon* then went and ate taquitos for dinner and went for a drive out to sylvan and back with Dmaster blabbing about our last few days. I'm so happy for him. So yeah today was busy but it was great. I'm glad I didn't pick up a shift. I needed a decompress day. :)
